It's International Women's Day, here's what i'm thinking!

"Here's to strong women ..may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them."

Today we celebrate another International Women’s Day! Ladies, we deserve to be celebrated more than ever before. Celebrated not just today but everyday! We are breaking barriers in the corporate world, in the church, in government, entertainment and every where else we bless with our presence. So where ever you are, lean over right now and either raise your glass or teacup. Honey, pat your self on the back because WE are phenomenal!

I’m patting my own back because I’m so proud of myself for so many reasons. Every year I level up! I am amazed at how much I’ve accomplished and my resilience even when I thought I wouldn’t make it. Funny thing is I haven’t even scratched the surface. I’m crushing goals and overcoming challenges that were meant to kill me. Am I the only one? Like they say, “where there is a will there is a way!”

International Women's Day - I am woman.jpg

I’ve had people say to me before, “who do you look up to?” I was raised and surrounded by some AMAZING, BOLD, FEARLESS women, my mom and my grandmother. They are both absolutely phenomenal! I’ve always looked up to them and I know I have some big shoes to fill.

One thing I can say is this, none of us are perfect. We all have struggles, flaws and weaknesses. As long as we remember our purpose and our why we will not fail. So to the senior woman who’s given her all, to the single woman, to the broken woman, to the struggling woman, to the ambitious woman, to the married woman with kids and the one without…keep going! Why? because you are enough, you are valuable, you do deserve it, you can achieve it and YES you are equal! So today, be empowered, and be bold. If me, mom, and grams can overcome the challenges and rejoice in the victories, then so can you!

How are you celebrating this special day? Who are those phenomenal women in your life? Let me know in the comments!

XOXO EBB
